Simba

Domestic Long Hair (long coat)

Vous avez aussi droit à une consultation vidéo gratuite de 30 minutes dans le premier mois suivant l'adoption avec notre consultante en comportement félin FelineGood https://www.felinegood.ca             Afin d'avoir une chance de l'adopter, veuillez remplir notre formulaire d'adoption directement sur notre site web:   https://www.reseausecoursanimal.org/nous-contacter/formulaire-adoption   Simba is believed to have spent last winter wandering outdoors until a kind-hearted person, who regularly spotted him on their security cameras, decided to bring him to us so he could finally have the chance to find a loving home. When he arrived, this sweet one-and-a-half-year-old boy was covered in mats, and his coat was in such poor condition that he needed to be completely shaved. Today, this magnificent long-haired grey tabby with stunning blue eyes is ready for a fresh start! His beautiful coat will require regular maintenance and grooming to keep it clean, healthy, and free of mats. Simba certainly didn’t go unnoticed by our volunteers at the shelter! His striking good looks and gentle nature quickly made him a little favourite. He loves being petted and truly enjoys quiet, affectionate moments with his humans. Like any good cat, however, Simba knows how to communicate his boundaries! You’ll quickly learn which areas of his body he prefers to be left alone and, most importantly, how to recognize his little signals when he’s had enough. It’s important to respect his body language and give him some space when he lets you know that cuddle time is over. For this reason, we believe a home without young children would be best for him. Simba is a sweet boy who loves relaxing, whether he’s comfortably curled up on the couch or perched up high, keeping an eye on his kingdom. He also enthusiastically joins in during play sessions at the shelter. He particularly enjoys catnip and creamy treats! As for feline roommates, Simba would be happy being the one and only king of the household.  Simba is an adult cat, therefore the adoption fee is $290$. He is sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped, and has tested negative for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FeLV).  Six weeks of pet insurance are included with the adoption. You will also have access to support from our adoption team for as long as needed, as well as a free 30-minute video consultation within the first month after adoption with our feline behavior consultant, FelineGood https://www.felinegood.ca To have a chance to adopt this cat, please fill out our adoption directly on our website:   https://www.reseausecoursanimal.org/contacts/adoption-form/

DOGWOOD

Tabby / Domestic Medium Hair / Mixed (short coat)

DOGWOOD was found on a local property living in an TNR colony and came into the Rescue with 15 other “Tree” kittens and he’s now searching for his forever home. He’s had his *first vaccine, Advantage flea and tick meds, a microchip and been deemed a healthy boy by the vet. Even though this little fella was found living outside he’s super affectionate and has a lovely disposition. He loves to be held and will sit with you while he just purrs up a storm. He has an adventurous side to him and loves to explore his surroundings and check out all the nooks and crannies. He loves to chase after the kitty toys he finds in his foster home and also hang out in the cat tree, where he’ll also curl up and take a nap. DOGWOOD has used the litter box since day one in foster care as he’s such a smart little guy. He loves to eat both kibble and wet food, have his water nice and cold plus he loves to have Temptations treats. He’s in a foster home with 3 puppies so he would suit a home with a dog as long as it’s cat savvy and as always, we recommend a slow, monitored introduction be made between them. He’s fostered with 5 other kittens who we believe are his siblings and they all chase each other around and will tumble and play together. He should do well with a dog in his new home as long as they’re willing to put up with kitten antics. He also can be an only cat as long as he’s not left alone for long periods of time. Children should be aged 6 plus and be gentle, loving and caring towards animals.  If DOGWOOD sounds like he’ll be a good match for you and your family then please submit an adoption application to meet him.  *He’ll have his second vaccine, Rabies shot and neuter at the age appropriate time and it is included in his adoption fee.

Bond

Domestic Short Hair

*** Kitten Policy: CAT will only place a kitten under the age of 8 months into a home with an appropriate feline***   Hi my name is Bond! I am a lively, vocal kitten who loves nothing more than having little “conversations” with you. I’m always the first to greet you with sweet meows and will happily follow you around, making sure I never miss out on the action. As a playful adventurer, I enjoy gazing out the window and snuggling up with my siblings for warmth and comfort. When I feel like I’m not getting enough attention, I’m quick to step in and remind you that I want some more love and pets! I was born with deformed front paws, but that doesn’t slow me down one bit. I climb, play, and interact just like any other kitten — full of energy and curiosity. I’m great with other cats and a bit cautious around dogs, as I haven’t met one face-to-face yet. I would thrive in a loving home that appreciates my talkative nature and playful spirit. If you want a sweet, vocal companion who will keep you entertained and shower you with affection, I am your guy. ***ADOPTION INFORMATION: The adoption fee of $350.00 per feline includes a veterinary exam, parasites treatment, spay/neuter, vaccination and microchip. Chai

Domestic Short Hair

Nice to meet you, my name is Chai. When I was first introduced to the indoor cat life, I wasn’t too sure how to feel about it. But the humans were patient with me and knew that with time I’d figure out that the pampered indoor life was perfect for me. What you need to know if you adopt me…1. I have the cutest squeaky meow that I use to tell you I’m ready for my meal. 2. I prefer to snack throughout the day rather than eat a big meal. 2. My purr can be heard from the other room. 3. I love cardboard boxes and laying in the sun 4. Once I know I can trust you, I’ll be begging for you to lavish me with your attention.  ADOPTION INFORMATION: The adoption fee of $350 per feline includes a veterinary exam, parasites treatment, spay/neuter, vaccination and microchip. Domestic Long Hair (long coat)

THE ANIMAL RESCUE NETWORK IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS CAT'S ADOPTION. TO ADOPT, PLEASE CONTACT HIS FAMILY DIRECTLY USING THE CONTACT INFORMATION BELOW. Gertrude is a lovely, spayed female cat, around 6 years old, with a white and brown tabby coat. A rescue cat, she has an independent and reserved temperament; above all, she needs a calm, patient, and stable environment. Gertrude was surrendered by her owner. We are currently caring for her, but unfortunately, our situation no longer allows us to provide the proper care she requires. Gertrude is not particularly demonstrative or easy to handle. She prefers to keep her distance, rarely allows herself to be picked up, and is reluctant to accept grooming or prolonged handling. If she feels forced or stressed, she may react by scratching or biting. Her coat currently has some matted areas that require appropriate grooming attention. Gertrude could truly thrive in a quiet, predictable environment with patient people—ideally those experienced with timid or independent cats. Her well-being is our top priority. We want to find her a permanent home or a foster family capable of providing the stability, patience, and care she needs. Sally's Litter

Border Collie / Mixed

Sally’s Puppies – 6 Males & 4 Females A member of our community reached out for help with a young mama and her large litter of puppies. Mama arrived with no name, so we have named this sweet girl Sally is a gentle, trusting young dog who has done an amazing job caring for her first litter of 12 puppies. Two puppies had already been placed before we received the call for help, and the remaining 10 are now in our care. There are 6 males and 4 females, currently approximately 7 weeks old and weighing 4–5 lbs each. Based on their current size and what we know about their breed mix, we estimate they will be approximately 25–40 lbs full grown, making them medium-sized dogs. Adult size cannot be guaranteed. The puppies appear happy, active and healthy and will be ready to leave for their new homes next weekend. Prior to adoption, each puppy will receive: • Veterinary health examination • First vaccination • Deworming These puppies are looking for committed families who understand the time, patience and training that come with raising a young puppy.

Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

MUSHROOM was found living in a barn with many other cats and kittens. He came into rescue with his siblings Kale,Tater Tot and Spud and are known as the “Veggie” Litter and now here he is looking for his forever family. He’s been neutered, vaccinated including Rabies, has a microchip, had Revolution flea and tick medication, had several doses of dewormer and has been deemed a healthy boy by his vet.  MUSHROOM is a quiet, curious little guy who loves to run around and play with the other kitties in his foster home. He’s definitely the type that will take a step backwards instead of go towards something new but in the end curiosity gets the best of him and he’ll check it out. He loves his wet food and kibble but his all time favourite is Churo. You can definitely win this boy over by feeding him lots and lots of Churo. He really enjoys chasing the cat toys across the floor and especially likes the balls with the little bells in. One of his all time favourite pastimes is to run up and down the cat tree plus lounging in the cat bed in the tree to take a nap. MUSHROOM is litter box trained and has been using it since he first came into rescue. As much as this little guy is a quiet one he also has an adventurous side to him and loves to run around and explore his surroundings. He hasn’t met a dog but if there’s one in the home they should be cat savvy and as always we do recommend a slow, monitored introduction whilst the dog is kept leashed. He would do well with another feline companion but with one who’s not too energetic and is definitely more laid back like he is. Children should be age 6 years plus and be loving, caring and gentle towards animals. If MUSHROOM sounds like he’ll fit into your family then please put in an adoption application to meet him.

Miley

Cattle Dog / Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat)

Miley | Chi Cross | 3½ Years | 25 lbs Meet Miley, a beautiful 3½-year-old Chi cross weighing approximately 25 pounds. Miley is quiet, gentle and obedient , good with other dogs and walks nicely on a leash. Right now, she’s still a little shy and unsure as she adjusts to her new surroundings. Coming into Rescue can be overwhelming, especially for a dog who was once loved and had a home of her own. We believe Miley is still mourning the life and family she once knew , and she simply needs a little time to understand that she is safe and loved again. Miley is looking for a calm, quiet home with someone patient enough to give her the time and space she needs to decompress and let her true personality come through. If you’re looking for a gentle, kind and well-mannered companion and have a little extra love and patience to give, Miley would love to hear from you.

POPLAR

Tabby / Domestic Short Hair / Mixed (short coat)

POPLAR was found on a local property living in an TNR colony and came into the Rescue with 15 other “Tree” kittens and she’s now searching for her forever home. She’s had her *first vaccine, Advantage flea and tick meds, a microchip and been deemed a healthy girl by the vet. Even though this little lady was found living outside she’s super affectionate and has a lovely disposition. She loves to be held and will sit with you while she just purrs up a storm. She has an adventurous side to her and loves to explore her surroundings and check out all the nooks and crannies. She loves to chase after the kitty toys she finds in her foster home and also hang out in the cat tree, where she’ll also curl up and take a nap. POPLAR has used the litter box since day one in foster care as she’s such a smart little girl. She loves to eat both kibble and wet food, have her water nice and cold plus she loves to have Temptations treats. She’s in a foster home with 3 puppies so she would suit a home with one as long as it’s cat savvy and as always, we recommend a slow, monitored introduction be made between them. She’s fostered with 5 other kittens who we believe are her siblings and they all chase each other around and will tumble and play together. She should do well with a cat in her new home as long as they’re willing to put up with kitten antics. She also can be an only cat as long as she’s not left alone for long periods of time. Children should be aged 6 plus and be gentle, loving and caring towards animals.  If POPLAR sounds like she’ll be a good match for you and your family then please submit an adoption application to meet her.  *She’ll have her second vaccine, Rabies shot and spay at the age appropriate time and it is included in her adoption fee.

Photo of Timiou (mรขle) et Brunette (femelle), an adoptable Domestic Short Hair (short coat) in Montreal, QC.

Timiou (mรขle) et Brunette (femelle)

Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

Since arriving at his foster home, he has made lots of little "meow" sounds—which is where he got his name. Timiou is mischievous, very energetic, and above all, full of love! He loves being picked up and petted by anyone. He is affectionate, incredibly sweet, and loves to be right by your side. No matter where his human is in the house, he follows close behind! Timiou is truly endearing because you can sense how much he needs love. If he isn't snuggled up to his human, he’s snuggled up to his sister. The two are inseparable, and we would really love to see them adopted together. They groom each other and often sleep curled up together. They also play a lot, gently nipping and chasing one another! Timiou also has a habit of suckling on certain fabrics, just like a baby. He does this almost every time he’s being petted by his human. A total baby at heart! He is a kitten who gets along very well with the other adult cats in the house. Also, after meeting a large visiting dog, he showed potential for adapting to dogs with just a little patience. Timiou needs a human (or humans) who spends a lot of time at home to give him all the love he deserves! Brunette (tabby): Brunette is so sweet and cute. She’ll let you hold her on her back with all four paws in the air, and she’ll stay in that position as long as you hold her that way! She doesn't have a mean bone in her body and takes the prize for being the perfect little kitty. She plays a lot with her brother and is clearly stronger than him. She’s a real little champion who also has a very calm side. She loves quiet moments in her cat tree or near the other adult cats in the house. And yes, she knows how to win the hearts of both her feline and human friends! Brunette is a bit of a glutton, so you have to keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn't eat Timiou's kibble. Champions get hungry! Also, after meeting a big visiting dog, Brunette didn't stay scared for long; she was soon walking around in front of him quite comfortably. After winning so many championships, nothing scares her anymore! This little lady would really love to be adopted alongside her brother—there’s no better duo. They are kittens, so the adoption fee for them is $700. They are sterilized, vaccinated and microchipped. They are negative for feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and for feline leukemia (FeLV). You will also be provided with health insurances for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the support of the adoption team for as long as you need it. You will also have access to a free 30 minutes video consultation within the first month following adoption with our cat behaviour consultant FelineGood (   https://www.felinegood.ca   ). In order to get a chance to adopt him, please fill out our adoption directly on our website:    https://www.reseausecoursanimal.org/contacts/adoption-form/

Photo of ARISAIG, an adoptable Husky / Collie / Mixed (medium coat) in Barrie, ON.

ARISAIG

Husky / Collie / Mixed (medium coat)

ARISAIG hails from Fort Severn, a Northern community and came south with her 5 siblings, Yamaska, Kokanee, Algonquin, Banff & Makwa (they’re known as the “Provincial Parks” Litter) and she came south to find her forever home. She’s had 2 sets of puppy vaccines, a microchip, “Interceptor Plus” dewormer and has been deemed a healthy girl by her Vet. We actually have a video showing both parents and mum looks like a medium sized Collie/Old English Sheepdog and her dad possibly a large sized black Lab/Border Collie/Shepherd. We do also see Newfoundlander breed in the litter so we do expect her to be a large breed dog. She comes from a community with many stray dogs so she no doubt has many different breeds in her as well. She’s a placid, laid back little fluff ball who loves her humans almost as much as she loves taking naps. Although she’s gentle and quiet on the whole she does have a spicy side to her where she’ll run around doing zoomies and when she crashes though she’ll snuggle in your lap and have a nap. She’s well socialized with people and will excitedly run up to greet them with a wagging tail. She loves her snuggles and will happily curl up in your lap to get lots of them.  ARISAIG is fostered with her brother, Banff and they get up to lots of puppy antics and are very playful together. She’s a happy-go-lucky, playful puppy who’s full of curiosity and loves her squeaky toys and stuffies. With her lovely personality and good nature she’s ready to find her forever home where she can continue to thrive, grow and shower her new family with lots of love and happy tail wags.  ARISAIG is doing very well with her crate training and will sleep in it quietly at night and also take a nap in it during the day. She’s also doing well with housetraining and getting to know that she has to go outside for a bathroom break. She loves going on walks and wears a collar and harness while on a leash. She loves to have a sniff-a-thon on her walks and will check out every rock and heave that she see’s and she’s also learning g “out” when things have to taken out if her mouth. Due to teething, she’s at a chewing stage so she needs lots of chewy toys to satisfy that urge not to chew on anything that she shouldn’t. She really loves to chew on a Nyla bone to keep those little teeth busy too. She’s starting to learn a couple of basic commands already such as “sit” for her meals and take treats “gentle.” ARISAIG would love an active family who loves the outdoors as much as she does, going on hikes, walks and will take her on adventures with them. She travels well in a vehicle and will just rest in her crate and quietly enjoy being driven around. She’s been very friendly with the dogs she’s met so far so should do well with one in her new home with one providing that is, they don’t mind puppy antics. She can be an only dog as long as she’s not left alone for long periods at a time. She has met a cat and was curious about him but he wasn’t a fan of having a new playmate in his home so there was very little interaction between them. Seeing as she’s just a puppy and with a slow, monitored introduction she should do well with a cat in her new home. She requires a fenced-in yard so she can run around and play safely and also to the size she could grown to be, she wouldn’t suit being in an apartment. Children should be aged 6yrs and up plus be gentle, loving and caring towards animals.  ARISAIG, like all puppies is a cute, playful and fun puppy but she’ll require a lot of time, patience and dedication to training. We need her adopter to commit to signing her up for puppy training/obedience classes so she can be the most well behaved puppy possible. Her spay is included in her adoption fee and her potential adopter must be in agreement to have her spay performed by the time she’s 6 months of age. It will either be at the Rescue’s vet’s office or be at the Barrie SPCA. You do have the option of using your own vet and we’ll reimburse you what we would’ve paid for it at the SPCA. However, her spay will still have to be performed in the above timeframe for the reimbursement and we’ll need a copy of the procedure invoice and an updated photo of her (preferably in a onsie or cone after the surgery.) We use the photo on our fb page along with other animals that were spay/neutered that same week. If ARISAIG sounds like she’d suit your home and lifestyle then please submit an adoption application to meet her. It should be noted that puppies personalities can change daily/weekly as their little brains develop. We try to keep our puppy postings as up-to-date as possible but due to their development, it’s not always possible to note 100% accurate behavioural information.

Spiro

Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

DUO M/F SIMBA & ZARA

Domestic Medium Hair (medium coat)

Mâle stérilisé, femelle non stérilisée  Zara Female  DOB - January 19th 2019 NOT sterilized    Simba Male DOB - September 9th 2019 Sterilized  Maria Haddad Contact information - Phone number - (514) 554-4226 Email - mariahaddad88@gmail.com   Email or text is better for me. THIS IS A COURTESY PUBLICATION. THE ANIMAL RESCUE NETWORK IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR WATSON'S ADOPTION. TO ADOPT HIM, PLEASE CONTACT HIS FAMILY DIRECTLY USING THE CONTACT INFORMATION BELOW. Simba - He is extremely affectionate and loves “making biscuits”. If you’re sitting in front of a tv he loves to just sit by you and loves being pet.  He is extremely playful and plays with pretty much any toy, with the exception of something motorized, he doesn’t like the sound too much. Zara - Her litter was abandoned on the side of the road, she was a little timid at first however she really grew into being affectionate and trusting. She loves being held like a baby and is extremely playful, she really has that “hunter” like vibe when playing.  They are both extremely affectionate, playful, sweet and vocal. Zara it may take just a little more time to adjust to a new environment (I’m assuming).  I also want to point out they are indoor cats, I do not let them out. They are curious of the outdoors but will not cry or beg to go out. If I do let them out (which is extremely rare) it’s on the balcony and I watch them.  The best match for both cats would probably be a calm like environment, especially if they will be in a new environment, with someone who can give them attention and affection.  As I mentioned, I know it is difficult for some to take on 2 cats however I really can’t stress enough that they really do need to be adopted together.  I had tried separating them and it was not a good experience for both cats. Zara was crying the whole night and Simba (he was briefly adopted) was crying the whole night and he was brought back to me the following day.  They are used to each other and I know for certain they will be okay and adapt to a new environment if they are together.  Male sterilized, female not sterilized

Smitty

Domestic Short Hair (short coat)

On April 11, 2026, a resident of the Ville-Émard borough got quite a surprise: the stray cat she had been feeding for over a year had just given birth to four kittens! Since it was cold outside, she took them into her home before entrusting them to Réseau Secours Animal. Smitty was 10 days old when he arrived at his foster home with his sisters—Speedie Gonzales, Douillette, and Frimousse—and his mother, Mousseline. Smitty is an adorable, energetic little guy who loves playing with anything: an old shoelace, a piece of string, cat toys, or an empty box. He is curious and loves to explore. Needless to say, he has a lot of fun with his sisters; he also enjoys long naps snuggled up close to them. Smitty is more independent than his sisters and doesn't like being picked up. However, he does settle down near us on the couch or coffee table, and sometimes sleeps at the foot of the bed. At those times, he loves being petted to his heart's content. He also enjoys being brushed. Smitty is shy, but he is also affectionate. When visitors arrive, he needs a little time to come out and see what’s going on. He gets along well with the resident cat but has never been around young children or dogs. As he is a kitten, the adoption fee for Smitty is $350. He is neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. He has not been tested for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) or Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), but his mother tested negative for both. Health insurances are offered for the first 6 weeks following adoption. You will also have access to the help of the adoption team as long as you need it. You will also have access, for the first month following adoption, to a 30 minutes video consultation with our cat behaviour consultant FelineGood https://www.felinegood.ca In order to get a chance to adopt him, please fill out our adoption directly on our website:          https://www.reseausecoursanimal.org/contacts/adoption-form/

Miranda & Hazel

Rat Terrier / Mixed (short coat)

Meet Miranda & Hazel Miranda and Hazel are two beautiful 2-year-old Rat Terrier mixes with a very special bond. These girls look to each other for comfort and confidence. Miranda is the more courageous of the two, while sweet little Hazel relies on her sister for reassurance and takes a little more time to warm up. Because of their close relationship, we feel strongly that Miranda and Hazel should remain together and are looking for a forever home that will welcome them both. They are food motivated, affectionate, eager to please, and once they begin to trust and come out of their shells, these two girls are a whole lot of fun. Miranda and Hazel will do best in a calmer, quieter home with someone who understands that trust sometimes takes a little time. They will need patience, kindness, consistency, and the opportunity to settle in at their own pace. Give these girls the time they need to feel safe and secure, and you will have the wonderful experience of watching their personalities blossom. If you have room in your home and your heart for two very special little girls, Miranda and Hazel may be the perfect addition to your family.

ALGONQUIN

Border Collie / Husky / Mixed (short coat)

ALGONQUIN hails from Fort Severn, a Northern community and came south with his 5 siblings, Yamaska, Arisaig, Makwa, Banff & Kokanee (they’re known as the Provincial Parks Litter) and she came south to find her forever home. He’s had *1 set of puppy vaccines, a microchip, “Interceptor Plus” dewormer and has been deemed a healthy boy by his Vet. We actually have a video showing both parents and mum looks like a medium sized Collie/Old English Sheepdog and his dad possibly a large sized black Lab/Border Collie/Shepherd. We do also see Newfoundlander breed in the litter so we do expect him to be a large breed dog. He comes from a community with many stray dogs so he no doubt has many different breeds in him that are not as notable as well. He’s a very placid, laid back, gentle little fella who loves his humans almost as much as he loves taking naps. He loves to play in his fenced-in yard and will happily chase his siblings around in it. He’s well socialized with people and will excitedly run up to greet them with a wagging tail. He loves his snuggles and will happily curl up in your lap to get lots of them.  ALGONQUIN is a happy-go-lucky, playful puppy who’s full of curiosity and is just learning what squeaky toys are all about and he’s always startled when one of his favourites actually has a squeaky in it. He’s fostered with 2 of his sisters and they are quite bossy to him. They will take his kibble if they’re not watched at meal times so he now gets fed in the crate so he can eat in peace. The funny thing is that when he sees his meal being prepared, he runs into his crate and patiently waits for his bowl of kibble. With his lovely personality and good nature he’s ready to find his forever home where he can continue to thrive and grow. ALGONQUIN has just started his crate training and he’s picking up on it very quickly as he’s one smart little guy. He’s only just started going out for his bathroom breaks so be’a just starting to understand that’s the place to do his business. He’s not going out for walks just yet seeing as he’s not vaccinated enough but he is wearing a collar and harness while on a leash so be can be walked around the back yard. Due to teething, he’s at a chewing stage and needs lots of chewy toys to satisfy that urge not to chew on anything that he shouldn’t. He really loves to chew on a Nyla bone to keep those little teeth busy too. He’s starting to learn a couple of basic commands already such as “sit” for his meals and take treats “gentle.” ALGONQUIN would love an active family who loves the outdoors, going on hikes, walks and will take him on adventures with them. He travels well in a vehicle and will just rest in his crate and quietly enjoy being driven around. He isn’t fostered with a dog but if there’s one in the home then they should be chill and placid like he is and they’d be fine putting up with puppy antics. He’s fostered with two older puppies and they love to chase and play with him. He would suit being with another dog in the home as long as they quiet and chill just like he is and definitely not a dominant dog. He can be an only dog as long as he’s not left alone for long periods at a time. He hasn't met a cat but seeing as he’s just a puppy and with a slow, monitored introduction they should do well together. He requires a fenced-in yard so he can run around and play safely so he wouldn’t suit being in an apartment and that’s also due to the size we think he’ll grow to be. Children should be aged 6yrs and up plus be gentle, loving and caring towards animals.  ALGONQUIN, like all puppies is a cute, playful and fun puppy but he’ll require a lot of time, patience and dedication to training. We need his adopter to commit to signing him up for puppy training/obedience classes so he can be the most well behaved puppy possible. His neuter is included in his adoption fee and his potential adopter must be in agreement to have him neuter performed by the time he’s 9 months of age or 60lbs (whichever comes first.) It will either be at the Rescue’s vet’s clinic or be at the Barrie SPCA. You do have the option to use your own vet and we’ll reimburse you what we would’ve paid for it at the SPCA. However, her spay will still have to be performed in the above timeframe for the reimbursement and we’ll need a copy of the procedure invoice and an updated photo of him (preferably in a cone after the surgery.) We use the photo on our fb page along with other animals that were spay/neutered that same week. If ALGONQUIN sounds like he’d suit your home and lifestyle then please submit an adoption application to meet him. It should be noted that puppies personalities can change daily/weekly as their little brains develop. We try to keep our puppy postings as up-to-date as possible but due to their development, it’s not always possible to note 100% accurate behavioural information.  * He’ll receive his second vaccine and it will be covered by his adoption fee.

Kerfluffle

Domestic Long Hair (long coat)

He was entrusted to us by someone who placed their trust in us to find him the perfect home, where he can receive all the love and attention he deserves. Kerfluffle is a calm and affectionate cat. You can often find him perched up high, watching the other cats play with our volunteers. Then, when he catches their eye, he lets them know that he is ready to receive a thousand and one cuddles. Among the little attention he particularly enjoys, grooming holds a special place: he loves being brushed, which is also essential for maintaining his beautiful long coat. Kerfluffle could thrive just as well as the only king of the household or in a home with another cat who has a gentle and laid-back temperament like his. He could also live with children, provided they are old enough to understand and respect his boundaries. Overall, Kerfluffle is the perfect companion for a small family that will be attentive to his needs, continue his care, and give him all the love he deserves. In return, this handsome boy will surely fill your home with affection and purrs. In the past, Kerfluffle suffered from urinary blockages. Fortunately, his condition is now well managed thanks to a specially formulated urinary diet tailored to his needs. It is therefore very important that his future family continue this diet to help maintain his health and reduce the risk of recurrence. Kerfluffle is an adult cat, therefore the adoption fee is $310$.

Spud

Domestic Long Hair (long coat)

With his long white ear tufts, he has a truly unique look and the majestic appearance of a little jungle king. His beautiful coat will need the luxury of a weekly brushing to keep it healthy and free of mats. When he arrived, Spud’s mouth was unfortunately in poor condition. He therefore received the necessary dental care shortly after his arrival, helping him get off to a fresh start and regain greater comfort. When it comes to people, Spud is quite shy at first. He’ll need a little time to feel comfortable, build trust, and explore his new surroundings at his own pace. But once he gives you his trust, get ready to discover a wonderful companion who may very well become your best friend! This handsome boy loves being up high so he can keep an eye on everything happening around him. Cat trees, shelves, and other elevated spots will therefore be greatly appreciated. He also seems to prefer a calm environment where he can feel safe and secure, away from sudden noises and too much commotion. That said, calm doesn’t mean boring! Spud enjoys playtime and would benefit from staying active and mentally stimulated. Play is also a wonderful way to share meaningful moments with him, help him thrive, and, most importantly, gradually build a trusting relationship. Spud seems happiest when he is the only cat in the home. Around other cats, he can sometimes be a little too persistent and “bully” them more than they would appreciate. A home where he can reign as the one and only feline king would therefore likely be the best fit for him. He could live with children, provided they are respectful of his boundaries and understand that he needs quiet time and space of his own. It will be important to provide him with several safe, easily accessible hiding spots where he can retreat whenever he needs a little peace and quiet. Spud is an adult cat, therefore the adoption fee is $310$. He is sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped, and has tested negative for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FeLV). Six weeks of pet insurance are included with the adoption. Annette

Domestic Long Hair (long coat)

Afin d'avoir une chance de l'adopter, veuillez remplir notre formulaire d'adoption directement sur notre site web: https://www.reseausecoursanimal.org/nous-contacter/formulaire-adoption Annette is a beautiful orange and white cat just over three years old. With her stunning long, soft, silky coat, curious eyes, and love of food, she quickly wins people over. Playful, inquisitive, and full of personality, she enjoys exploring her surroundings and quickly claims her favourite spots, whether it's a sunny windowsill, a cozy cushion in the middle of the living room, or even the back of a closet. Annette is an independent cat who appreciates having her space respected. She isn't particularly fond of being handled, but she'll happily come over for attention when she's in the mood—especially at mealtime, which she greets with great enthusiasm! She enjoys gentle pets on her head and neck but would rather you avoid touching her lower back. Annette has a confident personality around other cats. She could do well with a friendly, self-assured feline companion who is comfortable around other cats, but a more timid or anxious cat would probably not be the best match. Despite her strong personality, she shows genuine interest in other cats when they are receptive. She could also live with children, as long as they understand and respect her boundaries. Annette has also proven to be highly adaptable. She recently went through a period of home renovations, with all the noise and constant activity that came with it, without showing any signs of stress. This suggests that she could thrive in many different types of homes, provided her family respects her needs, pace, and personal space. Annette is currently part of our foster socialization program, which gives cats the opportunity to leave the shelter temporarily and show their true personalities in a home environment, helping them find their forever families more quickly. Still young, Annette will likely continue to grow and blossom over the years. She may even become a cuddly lap cat one day, but for now, she prefers to show affection on her own terms. And when she curls up on her favourite cushion, striking her adorable little poses, it's impossible not to fall in love with her. Her gorgeous long coat will also require regular grooming to keep it healthy, soft, and beautiful. Annette is an adult cat, and her adoption fee is $310. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, and has tested negative for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) and Feline Leukemia (FeLV).  Six weeks of pet insurance are included with her adoption. Kiwi

Domestic Long Hair (long coat)

For a long time, he lived in the large room with the more social cats. He has always been a very active, curious, and playful cat, but it is only in the past few months that he has started accepting more and more affection, much to the delight of the volunteers who have been working on his socialization. Kiwi has made incredible progress since arriving at the shelter in 2022. For a long time, he lived in the large room with the more social cats. He has always been a very active, curious, and playful cat, but it is only in the past few months that he has started accepting more and more affection, much to the delight of the volunteers who have been working on his socialization. This beautiful long-haired black cat, now almost 5 years old, has come a long way. His trust was built through lots of love, patience… and a good amount of Creamy treats! By respecting his pace and creating positive associations, Kiwi has learned that humans can be a source of comfort and security. Kiwi absolutely love to play! Wand toys, laser pointers, and interactive toys are some of his favorite activities. He is very curious and also enjoys being up high so he can observe everything happening around him. To help him build confidence, we used what we call the “magic paw”: a long wooden spoon with a small paw attached to the end, which allowed for gentle, indirect contact from a comfortable distance. Today, Kiwi is comfortable with direct contact, but always on his own terms. It is important to respect his pace and comfort level; by allowing him to stay in control, he continues to grow in confidence and thrive. With his beautiful long coat, Kiwi will need regular brushing to keep his fur healthy and prevent uncomfortable mats from forming. These grooming sessions can also become a wonderful way to continue building trust and strengthening the bond with his future family. To maintain his health, Kiwi must continue eating a specialized urinary diet. This food plays an important role in supporting his urinary health and helping prevent future urinary issues. Good hydration is also important and should be encouraged as part of his daily routine. After all these years at the shelter, Kiwi is now ready to give a family the chance to welcome him into their lives. He will need a patient, gentle family who is willing to respect his pace, but in return, they will discover a unique, loving cat with so much potential. Kiwi deserves the opportunity to experience the comfort of a home and continue showing everything he has to offer. Kiwi is an adult cat, therefore the adoption fee is $310$.

Wagner

Domestic Short Hair

He was rescued from the streets thanks to a kind person who took care of him and covered his first treatments. Since then, he has shown just how much he enjoys human presence and companionship. With his adorable teddy bear face, loving personality, and desire to be part of your daily life, Wagner is simply waiting for a family who will offer him the security and love he deserves. He is a social cat who enjoys the company of people and also seems to appreciate the presence of other feline companions.  Wagner is also an impressive polydactyl cat! He has 7 toes on each of his four paws, giving him a unique and absolutely charming appearance. This special feature does require some extra attention when it comes to nail care. A gradual desensitization to having his paws touched would be an excellent first step in continuing to build his trust before moving on to regular maintenance. With patience and respect for his pace, these moments can become a positive part of his routine. Play sessions are also very important for Wagner. They will help satisfy his natural hunting instincts, allow him to release his energy, keep him mentally stimulated, and support his overall physical and emotional well-being. Interactive play, such as wand toys and activities that encourage chasing and hunting, will be wonderful opportunities to strengthen your bond with him while helping him enjoy a long and happy life. FIV-positive male cats are often some of the most extraordinary companions, known for being very affectionate and loving. Yes, Wagner is FIV-positive, but this does not prevent him from being healthy, living a long and happy life, and fully enjoying his everyday experiences. With proper care, a high-quality diet, and regular veterinary follow-up, FIV-positive cats can be wonderful companions for many years. To stay healthy, Wagner should receive a high-quality diet and have regular health monitoring, especially regarding his dental health. In fact, Wagner currently needs dental care, which will be fully covered by the shelter. His future family will simply need to commit to bringing him to his scheduled appointment with our veterinarian in Anjou. Wagner is an adult cat, and his adoption fee is $310$. He is sterilized, vaccinated, microchipped. He tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV) but negative for Feline Leukemia (FeLV). Although he carries FIV, the risk of transmitting the virus to another cat is very low. He/she is in good health and can still live a long and happy life. For more information about FIV: https://www.canadianveterinarians.net/related-resources/feline-immunodeficiency-virus-fiv/      Six weeks of pet insurance are included with his adoption. You will also have access to support from our adoption team for as long as needed, as well as a free 30-minute video consultation within the first month after adoption with our feline behavior consultant, FelineGood https://www.felinegood.ca To have a chance to adopt him, please fill out our adoption directly on our website:   https://www.reseausecoursanimal.org/contacts/adoption-form/

Mama

Tabby

My name is Mama and I can be shy at first but warm up to the right people. I prefer a quiet, loving home with my human(s) and a cat or two around my age. I love soft beds, carpets, and toys... anything that I can bunny-kick and roll around with! You will usually find me at the bottom of a cat tree or in a cozy little nook away from all the noise, but don’t worry! I will come by to ask for back scratches and head pats. ***ADOPTION INFORMATION: The adoption fee of $350 per feline includes a veterinary exam, parasites treatment, spay/neuter, vaccination and microchip. The adopter will be responsible for the first, second and third sets of vaccinations if they haven't already been administered. Hi! My name is Rye and I am looking for a loving forever home with another cat friend. I am small and friendly but mighty. I am pretty independent but will meow for head pats when I’m feeling bored! My favorite hobbies include: getting pets, lying around with my catnip toys, and acting like a huntress. ***ADOPTION INFORMATION: The adoption fee of $350 per feline includes a veterinary exam, parasites treatment, spay/neuter, vaccination and microchip.
