Bondok (Egypt) nt

Belgian Shepherd Malinois / Shepherd / Mixed

Hello! My name is Bondok, and here is a little info about me:Breed: Belgian Malinois MixAge: 2.5 yearsGender: MaleWeight: 21 kgCountry of Origin: EgyptHighlight(s): Resilient, affectionate, playful, social, courageous, lovingHi there! I'm Bondok, which means "Hazelnut" in Arabic. I may have had a heartbreaking start in life, but today I'm a happy, loving boy who is ready to find the forever family I've always dreamed of.When I was just a puppy, I was hit by a car or truck. The impact left me with a broken pelvis, a severely broken back leg, and complete paralysis. I had to drag myself just to move.As if that wasn't enough, the accident threw me into thorny bushes, leaving painful thorns embedded throughout my body that caused serious infections. Later, I also developed scabies and blood parasites. I spent about a year and a half going through surgeries, treatments, rehabilitation, and endless care before I finally recovered.Today, I walk very well and enjoy life just like any other dog. The only lasting effect is that I can't stand up on my back legs to place my paws on people like many dogs do, and I have a permanently broken tail that hangs down. Neither of these causes me pain or stops me from living a happy, active life. I walk well and enjoy an active lifestyle.I love playing with other dogs and being part of the pack. I get along wonderfully with cats inside the house as well. I'm also a little jealous—in the cutest way! I especially love friendly competition with my buddy Chocho, as I enjoy being the leader of the group.I'd love a family who will include me in their daily life and shower me with affection. Whether I have canine siblings or I'm your one and only, I'll be happiest with people who appreciate my loving personality and playful nature.Energy Level: ModerateI get along with:Dogs: YesCats: Yes Kids: UnknownFears: None observed. Please be patient while I adjust to my new home and routine.TRAININGLeash skills: Some. Please be prepared to continue my training.House trained: Yes. Please help me learn where to go in my new home.HEALTH NOTESFully recovered from previous pelvic, back leg injuries, blood parasites & scabies.Cannot stand on my back legs to place my paws on people due to my old injuries.Permanently broken tail that hangs down but causes no pain or limitations.I have been neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver.Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you.Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. You will NOT be asked to pay a passenger fee on top of the cargo fee.[MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East.[TURKEY] Dogs from Turkey receive a 4D SNAP test to include Leishmania, Heartworm, Ehrlichia, & Anaplasma, as well as Giardia, Parvo, Corona & Distemper.

BENNY

Belgian Shepherd Malinois / Mixed (medium coat)

Meet Benny!Benny is a handsome young pup with a heart of gold and a lot of potential. He is currently working hard on his manners and basic training, showing everyone just how smart and eager to please he can be. Benny is looking for a dedicated, experienced owner who enjoys the training process and can help him reach his full potential.Because Benny is still learning how to navigate the world, he can be selective with other dogs and a bit nervous around strangers. For this reason, he requires a home in a low-traffic area rather than a condo or apartment. He needs a calm environment where he can feel secure while he continues to build his confidence, so ideally an adult-only home with no young kids.Benny is currently placed in a foster home and not at the shelter. If you are interested in adopting Benny, please call the East Region at 416-338-PAWS (7297) to start the application process!

Ms. Marley (China) sf

Belgian Shepherd Malinois / Labrador Retriever / Mixed

My name is Ms. Marley and I am an affectionate, sweet, playful, smart, and quiet 3.5 year old gal. I am part Belgian Malinois and part Labrador retriever. I weigh about 62 lbs and I measure about 20 inches at my shoulder. There is a good chance that I will greatly benefit from a 'job' within my family home. After all, my breed background is to be a working dog. I am not likely to be a dog who sits in front of the fire and just relaxes most of the day. When I was about four or five months old, I got a viral enteritis causing diarrhea. My then “owner” didn’t want to spend the money to get me treated so I was dropped off at the terrible shelter in Wuhan, China. The terrible shelter wouldn’t take me because they didn’t want to spend the money treating me either. A really nice lady volunteer took me to her vet to get me treated and brought me to her shelter. I have been at her shelter for about a year.I am a good girl who loves to play, being still a young pup. I get along very well with the other dogs and I also love my rescuer and her family. I so long to have a family I can call my own and to flourish with them. I'm told that I am very trainable. So far, I have some leash-walking skills and I have a nice relationship with my rescuer's young daughter. I don't know any cats so I'm not sure how I would be around them.I have been spayed, microchipped, and immunized. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters.
